Police seize about 40 cakes of smuggled heroin

Police in the northern mountain province of Hòa Bình yesterday arrested two local men smuggling 30 cakes of heroin from Laos. Each cake of heroin weighs about 350 gram.

HÒA BÌNH – Police in the northern mountain province of Hòa Bình yesterday arrested two local men smuggling 30 cakes of heroin from Laos. Each cake of heroin weighs about 350 gram.

Khà A Chư, 21 and Vàng A Da, 24, both of Mai Châu District, were stopped on their way to sell the drug with 15 cakes hidden in their motorbikes.

Also yesterday, police in the northern province of Sơn La detected a man named Khà A Hua illegally transporting drugs and seized eight cakes of heroin.

Hua, 31, from Mai Châu District, said he bought the drug from a person from Laos and was about to sell it to an unknown man from Hà Nội.

Earlier, police in Điện Biên province seized 2,000 pills of ecstasy from a man named Vừ A Vì from Sơn La Province.

After expanding their investigation, police arrested two other people for smuggling 360g of heroin from Laos into Việt Nam.— VNS
