HÀ NỘI — Sylvie Fanchette, a French author, will discuss her books featuring Vietnamese handicrafts on Friday at the Bookworm shop.

She is the author of Hà Nội, a Metropolis in the Making and Discovering Craft Villages in Việt Nam - Ten itineraries around Hà Nội (with Nicholas Steadman).

She will allow readers to join an investigation into the past development and future growth of Hà Nội, from villages to a globalised mega-city that continues to envelope rural communities.

The books, both published by Thế Giới (World) Publishers, have been popular among people who want to explore local craft environments.
