HCM CITY — Triumphing over three other contestants and winning over 40 per cent of the audience’s votes, Phí Phương Anh from Hà Nội has become the first winner of The Face Vietnam season 1.
The popular television show is a Vietnamese modeling-themed reality television series, and part of the international The Face franchise.
The contestants in the competitions had to compete in many modeling poses, such as natural beauty and street style shots, on the catwalk for swimsuits and dresses, as well as filming with male models.
Singer and model Hồ Ngọc Hà, and models Phạm Hương and Lan Khuê, served as coaches, and male model Vĩnh Thụy was the host for the first season. Phí Phương Anh was a member of Hồ Ngọc Hà’s team.
In the finale, the contestants had to compete in three rounds in categories such as LED screen interaction, eloquence and artistic dancing.
During The Face Vietnam season 1, Anh consistently demonstrated her keenness to learn and her efforts to improve herself. With her modern and stylish beauty — especially her performance in the eloquence contest — the 19-year-old won the hearts of the judges and audience.
Mai Ngô, Đỗ Trần Khánh Ngân, and Chúng Huyền Thanh were the runners-up in this year’s competition. — VNS
