ĐÀ NẴNG — More than 600 pavilions of 300 businesses from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, China and Việt Nam displayed their products at the International Vietbuild Exhibition on Wednesday.

The exhibition, which will last through Sunday, displayed various items including construction materials, electronic equipment, solar energy technology, furniture, ‘green’ technology and architecture solutions.

“It has been one of the largest construction exhibitions in Việt Nam since it debuted in 1995. Đà Nẵng is a favourite location for the event with good infrastructure and tourism services,” said Nguyễn Tấn Vạn, chairman of Việt Nam’s Architecture Association.

“This year, exhibiters focused on updated technology material, nano-tech, non-baked bricks, renewable energy, solar-heater system and environment-friendly architecture and design,” he said.

Vạn also said forums and conferences on architecture, design and the Việt Nam Architecture Forum will be held through the week in the city as part of Vietbuild activities.

He said the association will award ‘green’ designs and ‘future apartment’ architecture during the architecture festival.

Business to business exchanges and a seminar on construction material production in the central and central highlands region will also take place during the forum.
