Russian deathcore band at New Year's party

HCM CITY — Russian deathcore band Slaughter to Prevail will give a performance at the “Year End Party: Dear Agony” in HCM City on January 9.

The band was formed in 2014 by British guitarist Jack Simmons, Russian vocalist Alex Shikolai and drummer Anton Poddyachy. Their hit Hell from the 2016 Chapters of Misery EP racked up over 517,000 Spotify and 1.6 million YouTube views.

The band released a full-length album Misery Sermon in 2017 and five singles. It consists of four members, including vocalist Shikolai, bassist Mikhail Petrov, drummer Evgeny Novikov, and guitarist Robert Brown.

The show will also feature local bands such as Pick Supplier, Knife Sticking Head, Infecated, and District 105.

The show will begin at 7 pm at LeLa Saigon Restaurant & Bar at 138 Lê Lai Street in District 1. Tickets are VNĐ250,000. — VNS
