HCM CITY— Women and men from across the country have been encouraged to take part in the Việt Nam Fitness Model Search 2016, the first national event featuring fitness enthusiasts.
The contest is open to unmarried people aged 18 to 30, who are at least 1.70m tall (for men) and 1.60m (for women).
Organisers of the contest, Blue Sky Việt Nam and Ngôi Sao Mới, have invited a group of experts in the field to select 32 candidates for the final round in HCM City.
At the semifinals to be held in early December, the contestants will compete in the categories of fitness performance, swimsuits and question-and-answer sessions.
They will also take part in social and charity activities to encourage the public, particularly youth, to maintain good health by doing sports.
Famous dancer Khánh Thi and fashion model Ngọc Tình will lead the contestants during the contest.
The finale will take place on December 16 in HCM City.
The winners will receive a VNĐ100 million award (over US$ 4,500) each, while the runner-up will take home a VND50 million prize ($2,250).
Selective rounds will begin on November 25 in Hà Nội and HCM City.— VNS
