A book of memoirs entitled “A Silent Secret Agent” was launched by the HCM City Book Distribution JSC (Fahasa) on Friday.

HCM CITY – The biography of secret agent Tống Văn Trình titled Người Tình Báo Thầm Lặng (A Silent Secret Agent) was launched by the HCM City Book Distribution JSC (Fahasa) on September 30.

The book is about the life and activities of Trình, a native of Sóc Trăng Province, during the wars against the French and the Americans in Viêt Nam and Laos.

The author, Tống Quang Anh, is the eldest son of Trình and accompanied his father to the North in 1954.

The book is based on Trình’s reminiscences and published documents.

“The book is aimed at repaying the Vietnamese and Lao people who helped my father complete his missions during the two resistance wars,” Anh said at the book launch. — VNS
