MEKONG DELTA — Chén Kiểu (Porcelain Bowls) Pagoda is a Khmer pagoda in the Mekong province of Sóc Trăng.

Built in 1815 Chén Kiều was damaged during the war and underwent restoration in 1969.

Due to a shortage of funds, its monks came up with the idea of soliciting donations of used chinaware/bowls to redecorate the pagoda.

The pagoda, situated 10km from Sóc Trăng town, was acknowledged as a national cultural relic since 2012. — VNS
