HCM CITY — The seventh lunar month has come, and it is time for the Buddhist Vu Lan festival, which falls on the 15th.

The Vu Lan festival is meant for people to express their gratitude and appreciation to one’s parents.

Vietnamese show their appreciation and respect to their parents by wearing roses and going vegetarian.

This year, to celebrate the festival, a number of hotels and restaurants run by Saigontourist in HCM City are offering vegetarian menus.

They include Metropole Wedding & Convention centre at 216 Lý Chính Thắng Street, Kim Đô Hotel at 133 Nguyễn Huệ Street and Thiên Hồng Hotel at 238 Trần Hưng Đạo Street. — VNS
