HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation has fined Quảng Ninh FC and Hải Phòng FC VNĐ20 million (US$860) each after supporters let off flares last weekend.

Despite Hải Phòng's recent record fine of VNĐ70 million ($3,000) two months ago, their supporters used flares at the Cửa Ông Stadium during their side's 4-2 defeat to Quang Ninh on Sunday.

Quảng Ninh fans also let off flares.

The national federation also fined Nam Định FC the same amount of money as they failed to prevent supporters throwing things onto the pitch during the match against SHB Đà Nẵng on Saturday.

Their head coach Nguyễn Văn Dũng and technical director Nguyễn Văn Sỹ received warnings from the federation for shouting at the referees.
