Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand won the first stage of the National Women’s Cycling Open for the An Giang Television Cup on Friday.

HÀ NỘI — Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand won the first stage of the National Women’s Cycling Open for the An Giang Television Cup on Friday.

Maneephan won the 34km race around Trần Phú Road in Nha Trang City, Khánh Hòa Province. The Thai cyclist also won the green jersey for the best sprinter with 16 points.

Phạm Lê Xuân Hồng of Biwase Bình Dương and Supaksorn Nuntana of Thailand were the runners-up.

The tournament attracted the participation of 65 female cyclists from 11 domestic teams and two foreign teams from Kazakhstan and Thailand.

The tournament will include six stages across 11 localities of Việt Nam, with a total length of 622km. It will conclude in Long Xuyên City of An Giang Province on July 18.

Today, the cyclists will compete in the second stage from Nha Trang to Phan Rang City of Ninh Thuận Province, lasting 131km. — VNS
