HÀ NỘI — Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) will face Hà Nội FC in the first match of round 23 of the V.League 1 today at Pleiku Stadium in Gia Lai Province.

Team HAGL from the mountainous province will not enjoy the services of Triệu Việt Hưng, who has received three yellow cards. However, in some good news for head coach Dương Minh Ninh and technical director Jung Hae-sung, midfielder Nguyễn Tuấn Anh has recovered from injury and is ready to compete.

Meanwhile, Hà Nội’s captain also cannot play the upcoming matches as he has received three yellow cards.

Without Lương, Hà Nội’s playing style will be affected. The team are trying their best to defend their title during this year’s season.

At present, Hà Nội rank second out of 14 teams with 39 points, while HAGL are in 12th position with 21 points. They are mired in a relegation battle.

With Jung newly-appointed as technical director of HAGL, the match between HAGL and Hà Nội is expected to be very interesting.

Jung was chief assistant coach of the South Korean national team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, following which he became assistant coach of Guus Hiddink’s South Korea national team that competed in the 2002 South Korea-Japan World Cup, where the Koreans reached the semi-finals. — VNS
