HÀ NỘI — Ng Wing Nam of Hong Kong won the gold medal in the women’s singlese event at the 30th Golden Racket International Table Tennis Championship.
The tournament concluded in HCM City on August 28.
Ng Wing Nam defeated Zhao Lin of Petrosetco HCM City 4-1 in the final to take the title.
In the men’s event, Qi Jia Wei of China beat Lam Siu Hang of Hong Kong 4-1 to win the gold.
In the women’s team category, Petrosetco HCM City crushed Hong Kong 3-2 to bag the gold medal for the first time, while South Korea bested the Military team 3-2 to triumph in the men’s team event.
The event featured competitors from eight countries and territories including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. — VNS
