VN's first int'l-standard motorbike circuit to open

HCM CITY (VNS) — Viet Nam's first international-standard motorbike circuit will open next month in Long An Province's Ben Luc District.

The Happyland Motorbike Circuit, built on 139,000 sq.m of land inside the HappyLand theme park, which is now under construction is 30km away from HCM City.

It is now in the final preparation steps for the first test drive, equipment test and training on March 25, 26, and 27 with coaches and biker Azlan Shah Kararuzaman from Malaysia.

The circuit with capacity of 25,000 seats was invested in by Khang Thong Group.

A grand opening ceremony will be held during the first Viet Nam Motor&Rally Championship 2016 on April 29, 30 and May 1.

The championship will continue in the second round at the Tanyoli Adventure Sport Tourist Resort in Ninh Thuan Province.

The circuit is expected to attract 1 million spectators annually.

It is designed following an international standard circuit with 1.4km asphalt, 1.4km off-road track, 1.5km pickup rally track, 400m drag track, 18,000sq.m Gymkhana-Stunt Festival and an exhibition area, 5,000sq.m dirt-jump track, 1,000sq.m RC racing track, and other facilities. — VNS
