HCM CITY (VNS) — Nguyen Thi That won during the third stage of the International Women's Cycling Binh Duong Open yesterday.
The cyclist from Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang completed the 110km leg from Bao Loc City to Da Lat City of Lam Dong Province in 3hr 35.36 min, barely ahead of yellow jersey holder Supuksorn Nuntana of Thailand.
The second stage winner Panwaraporn Boonsawat, also from Thailand, stood third.
Following the result, Nuntana will continue to wear the yellow jersey during the fourth stage today and remain the tour leader. Her total time is 7: 31.41.
Boonsawat and Cao Thi Cam Le from the Binh Duong Environment and Water Supply-Drainage teams were adjudged second and third, respectively.
Domesco Dong Thap maintained their top position, clocking 22:43.03. Thailand and Binh Duong are the two runners-up.
Dang Thi Ngoc Huyen of Dong Thap has officially won the Queen of the Mountain title after securing 47 points, five more than her nearest rival Boonsawat.
The fourth stage today will see cyclists riding 10 laps and 50km around the Xuan Huong Lake in Da Lat City. — VNS
