HANOI (VNS)— International Grand Master Le Quang Liem has moved up to world No 34 in the latest world rankings released on Monday.
Liem, whose Elo rating is 2,712, jumped nine places thanks to his performance at the World Championships last month where he reached the fourth round.
His highest ranking was 25 back in September 2011.
There was no change in the top 10. Carlsen Magnus of Norway leads the way, followed by Vladimir Kramnik of Russia and Levon Aronian of Armenia. — VNS
