Several players in the Super League have been suspended from play by the Viet Nam Football Federation's Discipline Division following clashes on the field during matches.
Midfielder Nguyen Huy Hoang of Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) and striker Samson Kayode Olaleye of Ha Noi T&T were suspended for two matches and fined VND10 million (US$480) each following the SLNA-Ha Noi T&T match on Sunday. Both players clashed on the field while vying for the ball, with Hoang suffering a serious injury to his eye.
SLNA's assistant coach Pham Anh Tuan was fined VND5 million ($240) and suspended from duty for two matches after questioning referee Vu Bao Linh's decision on the incident.
Halfback Le Tan Tai of Khanh Hoa was suspended two matches and fined VND5 million for arguing with the referee during a match against Ha Noi FC on Saturday.
Meanwhile, midfielder Tran Chi Cong of Becamex Binh Duong was suspended for four matches and fined VND15 million ($720) for verbal abuse during the match against Thanh Hoa on Saturday.-VNS
