The PetroVietnam table tennis team added two Chinese players and a coach for the International Table Tennis Golden Paddle Tournament, which opened in Vung Tau city yesterday.
Kou Lei and Yang Ce will play along with two-time Olympian Doan Kien Quoc, who was recruited last year by the Ha Noi-based team.
Vietsovpetro also signed Chinese female player Yang Xiao Xin.
This is the first time that Vietnamese table tennis players have been allowed to hire foreign players in an annual tournament.
Over 106 players from eight countries and territories will compete in the men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.
FIFA-licensed agent exam to be held in Viet Nam
A licensing exam for international football agents in Viet Nam will be held on September 30, the Viet Nam Football Federation has announced.
The successful examinees, sanctioned by the world football governing body known as FIFA, will be granted Players' Agent Licenses by FIFA.
Four years ago, Mae Mua, a Vietnamese-English woman, became the first FIFA agent in Viet Nam as the only candidate to pass the exam in HCM City.
Aon to introduce new Man United shirt in Ha Noi
The new Manchester United jersey will be unveiled in Ha Noi tomorrow.
The English football club's shirt will be sponsored by insurance broker Aon in June, for 2010-11 football season.
Ha Noi's Manchester United supporter's football club, which was established in 2004, has 15,000 members.
Binh Dinh team draw first blood in junior champs
Hosts Binh Dinh crushed Ha Noi 4-2 in the opener of the National Juniors Football Championship – Yamaha Cup yesterday.
In the previous matches, An Giang drew Ninh Thuan 2-2, while HCM City were held to a goalless draw against T&T Thai Binh in group A.
Group B saw Viettel edge Long An 1-0 and Phu Tho drew 0-0 with Dac Lac.
The championship has drawn 16 teams in four groups. The two top teams in each group qualify for the semi-final.
