HA NOI — A group of prominent young student leaders from seven regional countries have gathered in Ha Noi to discusses Asia and its challenges.
They are attending the week-long 11th Hitachi Young Leaders Initiative (HYLI) forum which started on Monday.
Four Vietnamese of the most outstanding have been chosen to discuss energy, the environment, economic partnerships and integration.
The students delegates come from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Viet Nam.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, who attended the opening ceremony, said Viet Nam had issued a strategy for human resources aimed at sustainably developing the country and integrating internationally.
He said the forum was a good opportunity for youth to test their talent, knowledge and social responsibility. — VNS
