LAM DONG (VNS) — UK Ambassador to Viet Nam Giles Lever has acknowledged Lam Dong province's efforts in searching for the bodies of three British tourists who died while climbing waterfalls on February 26.
At a working session with the provincial People's Committee on Saturday, the ambassador urged local agencies to continue to investigate the accident.
Pham S, Vice Chairman of the Committee, extended his condolences to the families of the British tourists, promising that the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong would provide accurate results at the conclusion of its investigation.
According to the official, after hearing about the accident, the province mobilised forces to search for the victims, and their bodies were found the same day.
