THUA THIEN – HUE (VNS) — The Hue monument conservation centre yesterday received two automated external defibrillators, granted by Korea, to help tourists who suffer sudden cardiac arrest.

The automatic external defibrillator is considered to be a useful and convenient device to save people who suffer a heart attack.

Korea's Radian Company has given the Hue monument conservation centre two devices, each costing US$2,500.

Hue Medical University will train the centre's staff in using the device and in emergency medical aid.

The Korean side will study other destinations and provide defibrillators to those commonly visited by tourists. — VNS
