HA NOI VNS — Ha Noi's Department of Public Security has officially launched a pilot police bike patrol in urban districts.

A total of 72 Thong Nhat-branded specialised bikes were yesterday handed over to the police force of 12 wards in 12 urban districts.

The ward police will be using these bikes to easily approach areas, each household and individuals, thus living up to the image of a police force that is not just formal and elite but also close and friendly.

These bikes are green in colour, just as the local police's uniforms, and will be equipped with all necessities. The reflectors have been painted to ensure safety in dark conditions.

This model is expected to be evaluated after a three-month trial phase, and will later be rolled out for the entire city. — VNS
