Viet Nam to compete in WorldSkills Competition

HA NOI (VNS) – Fourteen Vietnamese contestants will participate in the 43rd WorldSkills Competition, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from August 5 to 17.

The Vietnamese candidates will compete in 13 skills, comprising welding, IT software solutions, carpentry and plumbing, besides electro-mechanics, web designing, automobile technology and CNC (numerically controlled computer), as well as machine-operating, moulding, plastic-moulding techniques and mechanical engineering design-CAD, along with brick-laying. 

The competition is held every two years and competitors from all over the world vie for medals in 50 skills. 

Viet Nam has previously sent contestants to the event five times, but is yet to secure a medal. In the previous competition in Germany, the Vietnamese team won seven Medallions of Excellence.-VNS
