BAC GIANG (VNS) — The police in the northern Bac Giang Province prosecuted two persons yesterday for allegedly preparing fake documents to receive benefits.
The two suspects being investigated are Do Van Tuyen, director of Luc Ngan District's Social Insurance Agency, and Le Van Minh, director of Luc Ngan District's Electromechanical Joint Stock Company.
Tuyen allegedly took VND123 million (US$5,760) as bribe from two 53-year-old men living in the district.
Then Tuyen asked Minh to illegally sign two documents to verify that the two local men had paid full social insurance for 20 years.
As per regulations, people receive a monthly pension from the Social Insurance Agency if they have paid full social insurance for 20 years.
The police are continuing their investigation in the case. — VNS
