Military parade to commemorate 40th National Reunification Day

HCM CITY — Viet Nam will hold a national military parade in HCM City on April 30 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the National Reunification Day.

According to a plan approved by the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, the ceremony to commemorate the reunification day will be held at the intersection of Le Duan–Pasteur Street in District 1. The ceremony will also include activities of releasing pigeons and balloons.

The ceremony will be followed by a military marching parade performed by various sections of the army.

Other activities will include a national art and musical performance, and fireworks display at seven spots across the city for 20 minutes. — VNS
