HA GIANG (VNS) — Roughly 1,000 marijuana plants were found growing near the Yen Minh District in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on Thursday.

The plants were discovered during a routine patrol in a farm cultivated by a H'mong family, said chief of the local border patrol force Col Huynh Van Sau.

The H'mong family was requested to remove the marijuana plants, which were later incinerated under the local authority's supervision. — VNS
