Tourist rescued off the sea of Hue

DA NANG (VNS) — A salvage ship rescued an American tourist off the coast of Thua Thien-Hue on Sunday night.

The Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre No. 2 (MRCC Da Nang), which had dispatched the salvage vessel, reported that Ross, 89, had suffered a heart-attack when he was travelling on cruise liner Seven Seas Voyager from Chan May port in central province of Thua Thien-Hue to the northern province of Quang Ninh.

The salvage ship, SAR 412, located the cruise liner and took the victim to hospital in Da Nang city on Sunday at midnight. — VNS
