THUA THIEN-HUE (VNS) — The central province of Thua Thien-Hue officially opened a natural disaster prevention centre yesterday.
The three-storey centre was built with non-refundable aid worth VND8.5 billion (over US$399,000) from the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM).
It will be equipped with communications equipments and devices worth VND4.6 billion (nearly $216,000), also funded by the USPACOM. The installation will be completed by June.
The facility aims to help the province adapt to frequent floods and storms. — VNS
