THUA THIEN HUE (VNS) — Two new markets in central Thua Thien-Hue Province's Phu My Commune have several significant defects, Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper reported.
The commune's People's Committee spent about VND600 million (US$28,200) to build Duong Mong and An Luu markets. However, as soon as they opened, vendors complained about their quality.
"The new market is worse than the old one. Because there are no walls around the market, the sun will shine directly on traders when it's sunny and traders will get wet when it's rainy," said Vo Thi Vui, a trader at Duong Mong Market.
Pham Thi Dieu Hien, chairwoman of the communal People's Committee, said the committee would order the contractors to fix the problems. — VNS
