DA NANG (VNS) — The Vietnamese guest worker who returned from Guinea, one of the countries affected by Ebola, was unlikely to carry the deadly virus, health officials said yesterday.

The officials confirmed the results of three blood tests on the 26-year-old worker showing he was negative for Ebola.

He had a headache and high fever, symptoms of possible Ebola infection, as he returned here last Friday after going through Morocco, Qatar and HCM City.

The patient was transferred to Da Nang General Hospital and is currently under strict quarantine by six health care staff. — VNS
