Students test computing skills

HCM CITY (VNS) — As many as 400 Vietnamese students from 67 local colleagues and universities are taking part in the 23rd Olympics Computing for Students, which opened yesterday in HCM City.

Individual candidates will compete in several categories, including the Olympic Super Cup, computing study and open source.

Another contest, an international programmer contest, the Association for Computing Machinery-International Collegiate Programming Contest – Asian region, is also being held with 107 teams.

After the contest, the 10 top teams will travel to Thailand for the next round on November 13-15 which will choose candidates for the international competition to be held in Morocco next year. — VNS
