HA NOI (VNS) — The Viet Nam News Agency reported that search and rescue operations are being carried out to find six Vietnamese sailors, aged between 18 and 23, who went missing last Sunday.

The shipmates of the missing sailors had seen them jump off a Taiwanese ship on which they were working, 18km off Hokkaido in Japan.

The body of a man was found near the coast of the Aomori province later, but the Japanese authorities have not identified him yet.
