Update: August, 18/2014 - 08:08

CAIRO (VNS) – Thirty-three Vietnamese workers from Libya arrived in Egypt via the Salloum land border on Saturday, bringing to 1,300 the number of Vietnamese workers who have left war-torn Libya.

The newly-evacuated employees had worked in the northern coastal city of Ajdabya, 530 kilometres from the border gate, under a contract signed between the Vietnam Manpower Supply and Commercial JSC and local contractor Al-Mankh. The Vietnamese are expected to be flown to Ha Noi today, after transiting through Bangkok, Thailand. — VNS
