SINGAPORE (VNS) – Viet Nam enjoyed its best showing to date at the Asia Pacific regional final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, ending in fourth position.

The event, held in Singapore from April 23-24, was contested by more than 20 from 15 countries.

Each team was required to research and analyse one publicly traded stock and produce a report on their assigned stock with a buy, sell or hold recommendation.

The thesis on the Southern Rubber Industry JSC submitted by the Vietnamese team, which comprised students from the Foreign Trade University, won high praise from the judges' panel.

This year, about 3,700 students from 825 universities worldwide participated in the regional contests held from March 2013 to April 2014.
