Germany supports ordnance clearance

THUA THIEN HUE (VNS)– Germany would provide nearly $258,000 to clean up mines and unexploded ordnance in the central province of Thua Thien Hue's A Luoi District, according to the province's chairman, Nguyen Van Cao.

The project was launched by APOPO, a Belgian non-profit organisation, in association with Thua Thien Hue Province. It aims to increase the capability of local authorities to clear mines and bombs. — VNS
