New regulation for road digging

Update: March, 05/2014 - 08:00
HCM CITY (VNS) — The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a new document banning electricity, telecommunications, water supply and drainage firms from digging up completed roads to expand the electricity and telecom network.

The document allows repairs and upgrades for roads in use for a specific period of time – three, four or eight years depending on the material the roads are made of.

When carrying out underground construction on the central artery or national highway, contractors will have to excavate the soil by automated processes. — VNS
