KON TUM (VNS)— A US$250,000 programme designed to lower child mortality and tackle child abuse was launched in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on Tuesday.

The programme, which is a joint effort between the Provincial People's Committee, UNICEF and UNICEF's ZERO awards donors, also aims to improve child access to clean water and education.

According to Lotta Sylwander, UNICEF's Viet Nam Representative, the programme is expected to reach around 50,000 children in the province. — VNS
