LANG SON (VNS)— The northern mountain province of Lang Son will invest more than VND83 billion (US$4 million) to upgrade and build medical centres in 35 communes by 2015.

As part of the newly-announced project, commune medical centres will receive funding to upgrade their facilities.

Medical staffs will also be provided with training to improve the quality of health services targetted at local people.

Most of the centres, built in the 1990s with only five-six functional rooms and an area of about 50-80sq.m each, have been seriously degraded. — VNS
