Vietnamese students enjoy US education

HCM CITY (VNS) — Viet Nam has held onto its ranking of eighth in the world for the number of students studying in the United States, according to the 2012-13 Open Doors Report.

Viet Nam was ranked first in Southeast Asia, with its 16,098 students studying at higher education institutions in the US in the 2012-13 school year, according to the annual report released yesterday by the US Consulate in HCM City.

This represents a 3 per cent growth from last year.

"This number is a record high for international education between our two countries," said Rena Bitter, US Consul General in HCM City. — VNS
