HA NOI (VNS) — Ha Noi plans to create incentives for private enterprise to get involved in public transport.
This will come in the form of preferential taxes and fee exemptions. Buses used for public transport will be exempt from transport and road maintenance fees. Equipment and vehicles will also be exempt from import tax.
For enterprises wanting to get involved in developing bus parking spaces and other infrastructure, local authorities will pay half of all interest fees for the first five years. Developers will also be exempt from land-lease fees.
The proposal will also provide discounted tickets for several groups of passengers, such as students or workers in industrial zones. ― VNS
