HCM CITY (VNS)-- HCM City has made plans to upgrade the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine and the Institute for Traditional Medicine to make them the country's leading hospitals in this field by 2015.
The move is part of the city's programme for developing traditional pharmacy and medicine by 2020.
The two hospitals will be invested in modern medical equipment to give high-standard diagnosis and treatment to patients and meet their demands for high-quality traditional drugs.
They are expected to become two main centres for research and specialised training and will also support the traditional medicine departments of ten general hospitals and 23 district-level hospitals.
The city authority targets that all general and district-level hospitals will have traditional medicine departments by 2015. -- VNS
