VNA reaches out to new audiences on PressReader

VANCOUVER (VNS)— The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) partnered with NewspaperDirect (ND), the world leader in multichannel newspaper and magazine content distribution, on December 7 to include the agency's top Vietnamese-, English- and French-language publications in ND's award-winning PressReader application.

VNA news will also be posted on ND's companion online newspaper and magazine kiosk as well as its global Print-On-Demand network, enabling millions of readers to access their favorite Vietnamese and foreign-language editions of the country's top publications on the Internet.

VNA titles now available through ND's networks include Viet Nam News (the most popular English-language daily in Viet Nam), Le Courrier du Viet Nam (the only French-language news publication in the country), Tin Tuc daily (general news), and the The Thao &Van Hoa (Sports and Culture) newspapers.

"By partnering with ND, we can instantly deliver our most popular publications to our readers – no matter where they are - in print, on computers or on mobile devices," said Ngo Ha Thai, VNA Deputy General Director.

He added that the digital news business is growing extremely quickly and it's important for VNA's brands to be presented across all the emerging digital channels.

"ND's digital replica technology enables us to deliver our reliable, high-quality content to a wider range of readers," he said.

Alex Kroogman, CEO of ND, said the partnership with the VNA was a major step for digital news distribution in Southeast Asia.

"ND has high demand for Vietnamese content from its subscribers, mainly library, business and hotel clients," he said.

The new digital replica editions produced in partnership with ND offer all the content published in the printed publications, giving readers a convenient way to enjoy their favorite titles on the device of their choice from iPads and Android phones to Windows and BlackBerry tablets. — VNS
