Update: July, 18/2012 - 09:53

HA NOI — The Japanese Government yesterday granted aid to expand two primary schools in the northern provinces of Thai Binh and Vinh Phuc.

The schools, which are seriously rundown, will receive a total of US$ 245,000 to build a total of 16 new classrooms.

The projects will improve education in the provinces as well as strengthen ties between Japan and Viet Nam, said the Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam, Hideo Suzuki, at the signing of the agreement. — VNS
