Bulgaria’s forestry agency head visits

Ha Noi — Bulgaria considers Viet Nam its important partner in the Asian region on the basis of the fine relationship between the two countries.

Chair of the Bulgarian State Forestry Agency Stefan Yurukov made the statement while meeting with Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan in Ha Noi yesterday.

The Bulgarian guest informed the vice state president of results of a working session between his agency and Viet Nam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and affirmed that the co-operation agreements reached by the two sides will soon be implemented.

Vice State President Doan thanked Bulgaria for material and moral support for Viet Nam’s national defence and construction.

She also applauded the forestry co-operation agreements between Viet Nam and Bulgaria, saying that the two sides may co-operate initially in training forestry human resources, scientific research, afforestation and animal breeding.

RoK leader praises progress

HA NOI — Speaker of the Republic of Korea (RoK) National Assembly Lim Chae-jung has affirmed his country’s support for Viet Nam’s national renewal and international integration processes.

He made the remark in Seoul on Tuesday while receiving a Communist Party of Viet Nam delegation headed by Politburo member and standing member of the CPV Central Committee Secretariat Truong Tan Sang.

Speaker Lim Chae-jung said the Republic attached importance to the development of relations with Viet Nam in the spirit of comprehensive partnership in the 21st century agreed upon by senior leaders of the two countries.

Truong Tan Sang said collaboration between the two legislative agencies was a significant boost to relations.

Tourism leadership reshuffled

HA NOI — The Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Hoang Tuan Anh, has announced that Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang has been appointed chairman of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The acting general director, Nguyen Quoc Ky, is still vice chairman of the administration. The decisions came into effect this week. — VNS
