Join pedal power at Ha Noi collective

The Ha Noi Bicycle Collective (THBC) continues a weekly itinerary of social bike rides on Saturday, at 7am at its office, No 44, Alley 31, Xuan Dieu Street, Tay Ho District.

A two-hour ride, participants will challenge themselves at a medium-intensity level, cycling at 20-25kmh. As the route changes every week, the finishing point is always the THBC.

On Monday, September 17, cyclists of all levels and abilites are invited to take part in a slightly less intensive ride, kicking off at 10.30pm and running until 11.50pm with a beer break in between.

A 15km morning ride around West Lake is also held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6.30am.

End the week walk through the past

Friends of Viet Nam Heritage (FVH) will conduct a city walk along Hang Dao Street in the Old Quarter on Saturday.

Classical piano for HCM City Conservatory

The HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will host a classical piano concert at the HCM City Conservatory this Sunday.

The Autumn Concert will feature Belgian pianist Urs Buchmann, who will play Overture "La Vie Parisienne" by Jaques Offenbach, and Piano Concerto No 3 Op 45 by Anton Rubinstein.

The HBSO's symphony orchestra will perform Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No 7 under the baton of Vietnamese conductor Tran Vuong Thach.

The show will begin at 8pm. Tickets priced from VND100,000 to 300,000 are available at the venue at 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1. Students get a 50 per cent discount.

Dutchman teaches meditation for managers

A seminar on meditation exclusively designed for managers and professionals will take place at Zennova Spa, 90/88A Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 1 on Sunday.

Hardrock Cafe goes acoustic for one night

Hardrock Cafe will present a live acoustic music night called Saigon Unplugged on September 19.

The show will feature musicians Juram, Curtis King, Claudio, David Zunk, and Erik Swackhammer.

Prize winning musicians to debut Debussy


French flutist Clement Dufor and pianist Tristan Pfaff will perform at a concert at the HCM City Conservatory on September 20.

They will perform Debussy's works like Syrinx for solo flute and In the Boat and Arabesque for solo piano, and Fantasie Brillante from Bizet-Borne's Carmen.

Dufor won the 1st Grand Prize at the Jean-Pierre Rampal Flute Competition in Paris in 2005, while Pfaff won the 2nd prize at the Ferrol International Piano Competition in 2008.

Chefs introduce Indian Food Festival
