Update: February, 25/2015 - 09:22
Residents and soldiers in Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagos planted 100 trees on Monday morning (the fifth day of Lunar New Year). The event was one of many annual activities during the festive season.

Pham Van Hoa, chairman of Truong Sa Town's People's Committee under Khanh Hoa Province's Truong Sa District, said most of the trees could survive harsh weather.

Local residents have also planted thousands of new trees on the islands after a campaign was launched by the local authorities.
