HA NOI — Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem will pay an official
visit to the US, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Le Dung.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem will make an official visit to the US from March

The visit aims to boost
the relationship between Viet Nam and the US, to strengthen relations on
economy, trade, science and technology, education and training, and to discuss

Deputy PM Khiem also plans
to meet overseas Vietnamese living in the US. "Vietnamese Party and State’s
policies appreciate increasing contributions by the Vietnamese community in the
US to developing the two countries’ relations," Chien said.
In addition, the diplomat
noted that Deputy PM Khiem’s visit to the US will also be part of preparation
