Dear readers,

June 17, 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of Việt Nam News.

Việt Nam News was born with a mission to faithfully promote the nation. With Viet Nam News, readers can feel the heartbeat of the country and the era.

Over the past 30 years, the newspaper has accompanied and grown together with the country, comprehensively covering its social, economic, political and cultural life, promoting the land and the people, the Party and State’s policies and guidelines, bridging Việt Nam and the world.

From a modest newspaper with just four pages to serve Việt Nam’s open-door policy targeting foreign readers and Vietnamese overseas, Viet Nam News has gradually established itself as Việt Nam's only national daily English language newspaper with 28 pages.

It is one of the most prestigious newspapers in Việt Nam, representing the country in the region and around the world.

Việt Nam News has also been producing more multimedia content daily, attracting tens of millions of readers and viewers on our online media channels including websites, YouTube, as well as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

In the coming decades we will stay on the same path: Việt Nam News will overcome all challenges, grab all opportunities, and remain firm on the nation’s path towards a peaceful, sustainably prosperous, strong and wealthy future.

We shall concentrate on building a strong journalist team, attracting more readers, applying technology that allows us to always stay up-to-date with modern media and social interactive trends while expanding our international cooperation.

The Việt Nam News team feel privileged that our newspaper is chosen by both the State and readers as the trusted media for regular reference and an exchange forum, and will continue to try our best to deserve that trust.

With your support, we believe that Việt Nam News will continue to grow to become a prominent voice in the region and the world, and always be your most reliable companion for information.
