Instant rice soup products not safe

More than 90 per cent of instant rice soup products sold in HCM City are unsafe and of poor quality, said Dr Huynh Van Tu of the HCM City Institute of Hygiene and Public Health. The institute collected and tested 49 instant rice soup products after receiving complaints from market experts and consumers.

More than 1,000 final-year students from universities and colleges in HCM City participated in the Career Dream Day organised by the HCM City Cultural Labour House and Youth Union on Sunday. More than 300 high school students in HCM City and 15 provinces around the region participated in a forum on online game abuse, organised by HCM City's Southern Teenagers' and Young People's Centre. They discussed the mind-set of online game users and ways to limit abuse.

Quang Ngai Province builds general hospital

Quang Ngai Province began the construction of a VND880 billion ($45 million) general hospital on five ha of land this week. The hospital will include 15 storeys and 500 beds. It is expected to open in late 2012.
