BINH DUONG (VNS) — A seven-year-old girl, who fell into a 13m-deep hole in the southern Binh Duong Province yesterday, was rescued after a 10-hour-long effort.
The girl, Tu Anh, fell into the deep hole near the pipeline of a well when she was playing with her friends in a fallow land 50m from her home in Tan Vinh Hiep Commune, Tan Uyen District.
The new 80m-deep well has been operational for seven months. When the well was dug, workers had also drilled a large 40m-deep hole near the pipeline. The girl fell into this hole.

Hearing the screams of the girl, 100 employees of the provincial department's fire-fighting force came to save her.
After digging for 10 hours from 5pm to 1am, the rescuers succeeded in pulling the girl out of the hole. — VNS
